“This episode is in my faves forever. Such great feedback and raw truths said here. Personally felt so validated when Siff said being unproductive is productive for her. Burnout is real and her saying that made me feel better about myself and my business😂 HSR is the best!!!” - Spotify reviewer. ICYMI ⋆˚✿˖°
This is one of those weeks I wish I had a daily newsletter because I’ve got a lot to say.
I feel like the best version of myself when I’m in NYC. Key word: visit. I can’t handle living here full-time, but being in the city fills my cup in a way LA just could never. This week, I had a Harvard sociologist and research expert on the podcast, who explores how technology is changing the way we communicate, connect with others, and navigate work and she explained this feeling I have in NYC to exercise the phenomenon called “drifting.”
You’ll hear more when the episode comes out but if you can’t wait until then, here are my daily go-to’s for slowing down and actually thinking — because that’s where the magic happens for creatives:
♡ Don’t reach for your phone the second you wake up. Give yourself at least 15 minutes unplugged — read, shower, get ready, or just sit outside and let the sunshine wake up your circadian rhythm.
♡ Ditch the tech and grab a pen and paper when it comes to new concepts and ideas.
♡ Do Not Disturb isn’t enough. It'’s HSR to put it on airplane mode.
♡ Before you queue up the latest HSR episode on your hot girl walk, leave your headphones out for the first 5 minutes. Let your mind wander — and actually notice where it goes.

I am running an experiment after a very interesting convo with my larger CAA team this week about the kind of creator I am on Instagram. We landed on this: I’m more of a Tinx or SFK with the in the moment content vs. an aesthetically beautiful profile like Paige Lorenze or Bryony Deery. What does that mean? More real-time reviews, thoughts, and unfiltered moments on stories. It doesn’t come naturally to me to share at this level or speed on IG, but I want to run the experiment and see if I can get traction on IG the way I have on TikTok.
If you’re trying to create content, it’s a good exercise to try to think about what style you relate to more so you can emulate with your own original ideas and content.
While drifting this week, I ran into:
♡ Mimi’s Frozen Yogurt (it would be hard not to with a constant line up around the block). This Australia frozen yogurt shop has a chokehold on 20 and 30 year olds and because I can’t help myself, I asked a few of them what the hype was about. The answer: their TikTok. And yes, it was delicious.
♡ 7 Spring NYC Backgammon Club — If you’re single and your ideal man works in private equity, finance, or tech, consider the $777 ladies’ membership for a new type of membership club. We stumbled into the launch party (thanks to friends at the door) in full athleisure during our nightly HSR walk and despite looking out of place, the crowd was HSR.
♡ I might be posting like Justin Bieber, but Megan Roup’s The Sculpt Society is taking over NYC out-of-home ads like it’s a new Bieber album drop to promote her rebrand. Love it.
♡ But of course, the best part was bumping into HSR community members (THANK YOU FOR SAYING HI!) Victoria who is starting Gnakoury Cacao from the Ivory Coast of Africa, Bailey Rabinowitz, an assistant producer on Fox Business, the founders behind Calacova the cutie athleisure brand, and the cutie gal from Vancouver who was also staying at PUBLIC that I forgot the name of!! Join the fun and meet the gals on the global HSR whatsapp group here.

About Most This Week ♡
♡ Canada is home to the top-performing store during Rhode’s launch week. We may have champagne taste on a beer budget — which is exactly why reasonably priced products like Rhode are destined to be a hit here. Our adopted icon, Hailey Bieber, showed the love at Rhode’s Canadian launch event, celebrating with fans in true north style.
♡ I’m sincerely creeped out by this Sincerely Yours brand despite 80,000 young tweens showing up for the launch. IMO, in no world should a father be building a brand with his 15-year-old daughter around content like “guess who my daughter is dating.” That said, I think this brand will absolutely do well — which makes me even more torn, for all the reasons I talk about in this video.
♡ Coincidence that LTK hosted their Awards Summit during the opening days of NYFW — the same window when ShopMy notoriously throws their event? 👀 Interesting to note the creators that skipped the first few days of fashion week to partner with LTK to head to Dallas instead.
♡ Nike clearly sees the creator opportunity — and they’re running with none other than TikTok’s running princess, Brett Chody. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.
♡ My personal dress fav, Self Portrait selects Apple Martin as their Global Face and I have a feeling this is just the beginning for the next Olivia Jade (without the college scandal).
♡ Yes, Nudestix was acquired! Lots to come on this but letting Taylor take the lead.
♡ Sephora x Uber Eats just partnered to offer last-minute beauty delivery (bonus is that you can add your Sephora account # to collect points as you shop through Uber Eats)!! I just used it to deliver the foundation makeup brush that celeb MUA Melissa Hurkman swears by and the experience was elite.

♡ If you hate talking about money but you want to get married (and have a lower chance of divorce!!), you might want to listen to this week’s episode with Libby Leffler (@thisfirst), founder of First and former Google and Facebook exec, to unpack why money talk might actually be the secret to a stronger relationship. on’t forget: HSR Angels get $100 off all First prenup products with code HOTSMARTRICH at thisfirst.com, valid through 12/31/2025.

Let’s be honest: most supplement brands today look the same. A sea of plastic bottles, half-baked formulas, and founders more obsessed with Meta ads than the actual product.
Arrae is a different story.
Launched in March 2020 by husband-and-wife duo Siff Haider and Nish Samantray, Arrae went from $1M in their first nine months to $100M in revenue in just five years. No viral gimmicks. No endless SKU creep. No $50M raise to prove they had a business.
Just eight products. Ruthless discipline. And the perfect timing.
This is how they did it.
