“Being part of Maggie’s HSR WhatsApp group has been one of the most unexpectedly powerful experiences of my year. I recently shared a link to a survey I created to gather data for a product I’m building, and not only did so many women support me by filling it out, but they also gave thoughtful, insightful feedback that’s actively shaping the direction of the project.
This group reminded me how generous and smart the internet can be when it’s curated with care. I’m so grateful for the space Maggie’s created and to everyone who took the time to share their voice.“ - McKenna Ziegler, 30

Where do you go when you lose yourself? I’m not a billionaire, I’m not 25, and I wasn’t feeling lost—but I always find more of myself in Ibiza than I ever expect to.
If you’re even a little into the woo-woo of it all (like I am), Ibiza sits at a powerful intersection of ley lines—spiritual energy currents believed to crisscross the Earth. Many say it’s a natural amplifier for meditation, manifestation, and emotional breakthroughs. Long before it became a party capital, the island was considered sacred by the Phoenicians, who dedicated it to Tanit—the goddess of fertility, love, and life.
Wealth in Ibiza is quiet. The billionaires and elite that flock there—aren’t as interested in the flashiness of Saint-Tropez. They are there like everyone to connect on a soulful level- not a transactional one.
I didn’t even step foot in a club for the second year in a row—but I still have the best recs for restaurants, day clubs, and practitioners. You won’t go wrong with dinner at Zuma, Casa Maca, Hostal La Torre (where the sunset photo below was taken!), or El Silencio–Urusai.
We loved our boat day to Formentera—both Casa Duo and Beso Beach are great in their own ways. And for day clubs, Jondal (featuring the Jacquemus pop-up) and Cala Gracioneta are unmissable. Fleximethod is the best for stretching, personal training or mobility work or you can try primal moves for a group class, which just opened up in Venice but I still started every day at our villa with these video workouts. They’re truly the best when you’re on the go. Tan Ibiza is an HSR angel who listens to the podcast every week and gives LA quality spray tans on the island.
While euro summer has been fun, I’m so excited to take advantage of being home, wearing my red light mask, decorating my office, and getting locked in before visiting family in Michigan and Muskoka before the summer is over!

About Most This Week ♡
♡ We had Carl’s Jr. for the boys. Now we’ve got Filter Baby for the girls. This is one of those underrated ads that deserves way more views than it has — so do your thing, HSR.
♡ The only thing you can’t buy is community — but now you can hire someone to fabricate it, further blurring the lines between genuine user engagement and strategic marketing. Enter: the obsession with hiring “professional Redditors for your company.”
♡ A decade into building Ritual, Serena Williams has been named their first Women’s Health Advisor — and the timing couldn’t be better. With Ritual expanding into 300 Ulta stores, her involvement now adds real value as the brand gears up to challenge Sephora’s dominance in traditional beauty. I’m betting Ulta becomes the supplement haven to watch.
♡ Health-Ade Kombucha held on and just announced their $500M sale to Generous brands, a private equity shop who is betting on the demand for functional beverages particularly among Gen Z consumers who are redefining social rituals with gut supporting drinks like Poppi, Kombucha, Matcha, and Mushroom Coffee.
♡ People are no longer listening to podcasts and The NY Times is watching me… 2 days after I made my video about how instrumental video has been for my podcast’s growth, the NY Times did a deep dive to confirm it: Nearly 30% of listeners are watching video in the background — while folding laundry, working, or half-watching from a browser tab. Video isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s the new default.
♡ There’s nothing I love more than habit stacking — and the brands that get it, win. Tesla’s new retro-style diner in LA lets you charge your car, eat a burger, and watch a movie all at once. It’s giving drive-in chic meets Silicon Valley efficiency.
♡Astronomer just proved that controversy and attention — if played right — are exactly what you want. A few weeks ago, no one knew who they were until Chris Martin ousted their CEO and CPO for an affair. But thanks to a cheeky ad featuring Gwyneth Paltrow (yes, Chris Martin’s ex), this B2B software company racked up 12M+ views in 9 hours.
♡ HSR Podcast Updates♡
Last week we talked about going from a 9–5 to a six-figure influencer—this week, we’re diving into how Les Alfred actually did it. In this episode of Hot Smart Rich, Les shares how she built her podcast @shessoluckypod into a full-time career, landed interviews with Michelle Obama and Melinda Gates, and grew her income through sponsorships, live events, and speaking gigs. We also talk about hiring the right team, moving to NYC, and dating while building something big. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to bet on yourself—this is it.
AND this week the one and only Katie Sellers is back in LA and is joining me on this week’s episode of Hot Smart Rich. We have a juicy episode planned and it’s all about what we’ve learned about beauty recently and based on the 50,000 of you that have seen the case study from last week, we know you’re interested.

It’s a question we hear all the time: how do creators actually make money? Whether you're filming TikToks from your bedroom, running a newsletter, or hosting a podcast from your kitchen, there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes than most people realize. It’s not just about likes and followers—it’s about owning your audience, understanding your value, and diversifying your income streams.
The creator economy is worth $250 billion, with projections to reach $480 billion by 2027, according to Goldman Sachs.
So let’s take a look. Here’s your deep dive into how creators are turning content into capital in 2025—and what it actually takes to get there.
Platform Revenue: The Passive Stream Everyone Asks About
Let’s get this out of the way first. Yes, platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat all offer creator monetization. But unless you're getting millions of views or operating at YouTuber scale, it’s not going to pay the bills.
