Time for my favorite part of the week, ICYMI!!!

ICYMI ⋆˚✿˖°

HI ANGELS

I’m a few days behind on posting because I’m currently bed rotting in LA, but if you’ve been watching my Instagram Stories, you might still think I’m in Greece! I powered through a 13-hour flight on Saturday, staying up almost 22 hours just to finally get a solid 7 hours of sleep as soon as I landed. Why? Because I don’t have time for jet lag. I’m trying to adjust to ET since I’m going to be there this entire week at a female founder offsite with Katie and Marissa, the founder and CEO of Project Petal. I’m coming in as a Founding Partner (think Emma Grede for Skims) and can’t wait to all be together with some new and old faces!! I wanted to say THANK YOU to the 100’s of you who have already applied to be community co-founders of Project Petal. I was so emotional reading through the applications and want you to know I am overwhelmed by how many of you want to be a part of it <3.

I loved the content coming out of Cannes, but even with a last-minute offer to attend, I decided to stay in Milos, Greece, which I’m predicting will be THE Greek island over the next five years. According to the hospitality folks we’ve spoken to, tourism in Mykonos and Santorini is down 30–40%, while Milos is trending up.

After Greece (and all the adorable stray cats), I really want a cat, but I have a terrible allergy. Has anyone ever actually cured theirs? It got me looking into the allergy space, and I found a really interesting product called Allermi, which I just ordered.

Speaking of products: after 2+ weeks of Euro summer and 4 more to go (with a quick break back in the U.S.), I’m now convinced you only need four products to get that summer, sun-kissed look, no matter where you are. This blush, this lip stain, this freckle pen and this tinted sunscreen plus a beach cover up and you’re good!

♡ HSR Podcast Updates

My angels have been loving Bryony’s episode of Hot Smart Rich! And I can say, I do too. The conversation we had about relationships, money, and power dynamics as a woman is so important. Bryony’s story is proof that everything can change when you stop waiting for permission and start choosing yourself! I hope you listen if you haven’t already!! One of my favorite parts is Bryony talking about how she made $100,000 in one month when she had no money. Listen to timestamp 38:40 here!! PS. The Everygirl just announced that the HSR 50-20-20-10 method makes you more money when it comes to budgeting and hitting your goals. Have you checked it out?

This week, Katie and I are back!!! We’re filming in one of your favorite formats where we cover recent news, give our takes, and just catch up! If there’s anything you want us to cover, respond to this email with your thoughts!! We’re filming on Monday at 11am PT!!

I have been starting to get a lot of questions about how to merge finances as a couple and there’s no right way. But I loved this piece in the WSJ this week on what to do if someone’s frugal and someone’s extravagant in their spending.

♡ I started watching Season 1 of America’s Sweethearts on the flight home (thank god I downloaded the first three episodes since I had no WiFi for over 13 hours). I quickly fell in love with the series— so was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders just a few days ago received a 400% pay bump after decades of performing for America’s most beloved team and the NFL’s most valuable franchise.

♡ Jourdan Sloane (one of my fav comfort creators) finally giving Nudestix cream blushes the flowers they deserve.

As if I needed a new reason to be obsessed with Ring (Lucky #3 put in 100K of the first million that they raised) but now they are being used by LA residents to foil ICE Raids. Love it.

♡ Clueless IRL! If you’re a 90’s baby like me, there’s a chance you’re equally obsessed with the scene from Clueless where Cher plans an outfit from her closet using computer technology. Well, Jenny Wang just raised $11M to do just that with the help of ai. I’m into it.

Let’s be honest: in a sea of DTC brands that raised too much, burned too fast, and are now clinging to scraps on LinkedIn, Dôen is playing a different game.

No blitzscaling. No desperate viral stunts. No investor decks full of vibe and fluff.

Just a smart, disciplined, deeply intentional strategy that took them from indie darling to $100M revenue with under $1M raised, before finally locking in their Series A with Silas Capital in 2025.

This isn’t just rare. It’s almost extinct. And it’s exactly why it matters.
