ICYMI
Hello Hi! HSR,
I write this to you while watching the US Open finals and having my 3rd bottle of Loonen water for the day. I hate to say it, but I am convinced the water is better and it’s not just a cult-like status symbol.
I can’t think of a better place to be at this time of year. NYFW, US Open and the vibrance of the city being back in full effect after summer. Although, on my 60th day of living out of a suitcase, I am SO ready to get back home on Tuesday.
However, this time of year is a time of big reflection for me. It was almost a year ago today that I got this DM from Steven Bartlett while I was eating breakfast and having matcha at Pura Vida and tomorrow I will be on stage with him announcing the next evolution of the creator economy at noon before our big event with Forbes tomorrow evening. Today, we are hosting a last minute happy hour for HSR at Pura Vida and sold out of a hundred tickets in under an hour. Damn.

So if you take nothing else from this edition, let it be about how much your life can change in one year if you let it. It’s why I love this time of year, it feels like a good reset and time to identify who you want to be going into the real new year of 2027.
Which is why tomorrow we are back to Burgundy for the Fall/ Winter season. Just because no other podcast did seasonal colors, I think I’ve made every decision to build this business with what I saw written on the wall of the NASDAQ late last week, “those that question today, rewrite tomorrow”.
So with that, I leave you with one final thought about how to approach the remainder of 2026 and how I am thinking about the year ahead from one of my favorite authors, James Clear:

The Info You Can’t Get Anywhere Else On The Internet
Who is ready to get hot, smart AND rich?! Last week, I did something a little different and sat down with my favorite person to talk business, money and investing…my HUSBAND Courtney Reum!!
Courtney is a serial entrepreneur, co-founder of M13 and venture capitalist, and every time we talk business I walk away feeling like I understand the world a little better. So last week, I brought you into one of those conversations to break down what is actually happening in business right now.
We got into everything from the BÉIS acquisition and the employee backlash at Canva to Oura’s path toward a massive IPO and why SO many creators are making the jump from building audiences to becoming investors. And of course, I had to ask Courtney what we actually look for when we invest, what makes a good investment, the mistakes people make and how we think about building long-term wealth together.
But what I loved about this episode is that it went beyond the headlines. We had just celebrated our first wedding anniversary (!!), so we also got personal about our European summer, couples’ finances, talking about money with friends and what it actually looks like to navigate wealth in a relationship.
If you missed last week’s episode and want to understand what everyone is talking about in business AND get smarter about your own money without feeling like you need an MBA to keep up, this one is for you.
