“I just discovered this podcast and this is hands down the best episode I’ve watched so far. So Genuine.” - HSR Angel
ICYMI
Hello Hi! HSR,
I write this to you while I celebrate my first wedding anniversary (and yes, I’m just as obsessed with the dress as some of you are) which is why this edition might be a bit more focused on love than others.
But before we get into tonight’s issue, I want to say thank you for the overwhelming amount of applications to work at HSR. I don’t take for granted that this would be trusting my vision with your livelihood and that is a true honor. Reading the applications, reviewing the Culture Test and AcuMax assessments, was a true pinch me moment to feel like what we are doing has purpose and the market sees the value in such.
We are still eagerly looking for applicants for the Founder Content Manager and Executive Assistant role, so if you know someone who would be a good fit, please send it to them.
I don’t know about you, but I have been overwhelmed by the state of the creator, founder and startup worlds the past few weeks and feel there are a lot of mixed signals in the market. The Top 50 Forbes Creators earning over $1B collectively, young entrepreneurship glamorized (and held accountable), and the corporate baddie making a comeback on socials so I knew this called for a good 37 minute gab session with me and the angels all about the career advice no one wants to give you.
So today is the release of another solo episode thanks to the support and love from the last one. The same request still holds, please if you love something, tell it! Don’t let it go away. We are still big in experimentation zone and if you enjoy these and find value (since they don’t perform AS WELL as a guest interview), please let me know in the comments so we can continue to push these out. And tonight for our paid subscribers, I’m going deep into the cutting room floor and the research my team put together for the episode to share the five things I would focus on if I was trying to get promoted today, and the data/research on what actually gets women ahead.
This week, I’m back in London with a pretty well balanced week, which is probably the first time I can say that this summer. I plan to soak it all in with my team IRL before a crazyyyyyyy 2 weeks in NYC.
There are 100 angels who were able to get a ticket and over 350 of you on the waiting list 👀👀👀 and I reallly want to hear from you with the types of questions/content you want me to cover! Even if you aren’t coming or on the waitlist, I’d love your input so help inform future events as well! You can submit questions here!
